YardArt is truly one of the most significant things my children have done! The environment Nancy creates brings out the best in the kids and genuinely helps them to develop confidence and validate the importance of their creative sides. Nancy genuinely loves being in the presence of the kids and the feeling is reciprocated. To top it off, she has created an oasis in her backyard that can't be matched, plus a welcoming indoor space for school-year Saturdays. Add two beautiful dogs and some great snacks to the mix and what more could kids ask for? YardArt is a child's place to shine, from elementary school right into high school.

This Place is just magical My  daughter asks ( sometimes begs)to go. I am always surprised by what Nancy gets out of these kids- amazing art. She teaches them how to THINK like artists and provides a nurturing inspiring atmosphere. 

Awesome Place

My daughter Adrianna attended YARDART for 10 years, since the age of 8. The highlight of her week was spending 2 hours doing what she loves to do and learning ways to improve her painting and drawing skills. Each drawing or painting got better and better and soon she was doing commission work for people who admire her artistic ability.She was encouraged to create whatever was in her mind, use which ever medium she preferred, ask questions and try different techniques. Now, Adrianna is graduating from high school and going on to study Architecture and Interior Design.  We attribute the development of her artistic abilities to the guidance and encouragement she received from Nancy. YARDART gave her the foundation needed to be the artist she is today,.

If anyone knows any kids in grades k-12 interested in Art I highly recommend taking classes at The Yard. Nancy Amico is an extraordinary and inspiring teacher and she is one of the main reasons why I want to be an Art Teacher.
